Pretty Girl has a new single out today. “Seaford Sunset” is out on 28 October through earthside, her own label. She put it on SoundCloud tagged simply as house, and it’s already sitting in our likes.

The track runs 3:38. Emilia Predebon, the Melbourne-born artist behind Pretty Girl, wrote it alone. There’s no blurb with the upload, so the title does the talking. Seaford is a seaside town on the Sussex coast. We’d guess the track has something to do with it, but she hasn’t said.

Pretty Girl’s Seaford Sunset and the earthside run

This is the third earthside release since she came back this summer. First came the Body Step EP, with “Body Step” and “Satisfy”. She made those after a year away, and the lead track started on a Prophet-5 in a Tottenham studio. “Waterline” followed. Now “Seaford Sunset” keeps the run going.

Her team describes her sound as Chicago house at the base. On top she adds progressive textures, lo-fi trance touches, UKG basslines and her own vocals. That garage low end is what keeps pulling us back to her records.

Who is Pretty Girl?

She came up through Melbourne’s clubs. Since then she has played Coachella, All Points East and KOKO, and toured with Bonobo. She also remixed “Strong” by Romy and Fred again.., and mixed a fabric CD.

Her catalogue so far includes three EPs: Middle Ground (2021), One Night, One Time (2023) and Get Back To Me (2024). A debut album is in the works. If you missed it, her 90-minute live set from the Forum is still on our site. More news is on her official website.
