efan and the crowd goes is the lead side of a fresh two-tracker, out now on his own SoundCloud and Bandcamp. He put it up on 26 October, paired with “metal sheet beat”. Both are tagged Dubstep.
Neither hangs about. On SoundCloud “and the crowd goes” runs 2:19 and “metal sheet beat” 2:21, so the whole thing is done in under five minutes. There’s no label and no blurb. Just a green, scratched-out face screaming on the cover.
efan and the crowd goes dubstep
That tag stands out, because his recent run has jumped all over the bass map. “ELBOW GREASE” went up earlier this month as dark UKG. In July, the “SHADWBOXIN” / “PAYMYRENT” pair split between breaks and jungle. Before that came “WRAPUP”, another breaks cut, plus bassline and grime bootlegs given away as free downloads.
His sets cover similar ground. In January he uploaded “100% Unreleased Mix 4”, filmed at Medway Sound. The tracklist runs to 24 of his own tunes, with collaborations featuring Riko Dan, Scrufizzer, Capo Lee and Tempa T. There’s also a set from Club Asia in Tokyo on his profile.
Where to get “metal sheet beat”
Both tracks are on efan’s Bandcamp, dated 26 October. On SoundCloud he’s got more than 37,000 followers, so expect them to travel.
