Boomtown has named the two acts who’ll close its biggest stages at Boomtown 2027. Bicep are bringing their live show to The Lion’s Den, while Noisia return to end the weekend on HYDRO XL.
Chapter Six, called Wild Style, runs from 11 to 15 August 2027 at the Matterley Estate in Hampshire. Tickets are already on sale.
The festival calls those closing sets “the last dance before we head back into the real world”. It also admits the pairing took “years of lining up the details to make this work”.
Bicep finally bring the live show
Bicep have wanted this one for a while too.
“After years of trying to make it work, we are very excited to finally be bringing the live show to Boomtown to close the Lion’s Den in 2027,” they said.
So it’s the full live show, not a DJ set.
Noisia close HYDRO XL at Boomtown 2027
Noisia’s booking means even more to the trio themselves. According to Boomtown, they haven’t played the festival for five years.
Their last visit came during the farewell tour. Thijs remembers it well, and not only for the crowd.
“I remember looking out at 35,000 people filling the entire bowl, there to say goodbye to us,” he said. “It was an incredible moment, but all I could think was that it should have been the three of us on that stage.”
Now the trio’s back together. Nik Roos, Martijn van Sonderen and Thijs de Vlieger confirmed in September 2026 that they’re working as Noisia again. Their first show back is at Melkweg Amsterdam on 4 December.
“So it feels pretty special that we get to come back and play Boomtown together after all,” Thijs added.
The Transportal and a bigger Anara Forest
Away from the stages, Copperwood Heights has built something for anyone who dreads the climb. The Transportal is a “gravity-defying contraption” designed to carry people from Downtown up to Hilltop.
Boomtown says it runs completely on green energy. Better still, there’s no extra cost to use it. The festival’s own billing calls it “a historic breakthrough in uphill laziness”.
Anara Forest is changing as well. The newest of Boomtown’s forest parties is becoming “a fully functioning ecosystem”. It’s always been a wild, bass-heavy corner of the site, so we’re keen to see what that looks like. Details are still to come, though.
There isn’t long to wait for the next update either. The Chapter Six trailer lands on 25 November 2026. After that, the first wave of the Boomtown 2027 line-up follows on 26 November.
