Sónar isn’t dead after all. A week after the Barcelona festival swapped its website for a “Sónar is dead” farewell page, it has revealed the first 30 acts on the Sónar 2027 lineup. Carl Cox, Peggy Gou, Bonobo, Jessie Ware and Goldie live are among them.
The festival runs from 17 to 19 June 2027. The bigger change is where it happens. Sónar by Day is moving back to central Barcelona, where the festival began in 1994.
Carl Cox returns to the Sónar 2027 lineup
Carl Cox is back at Sónar for the first time in more than 20 years. Peggy Gou and KI/KI, who has led the recent trance revival, are also on the first wave.
Bass fans get a lot to work with. Goldie was meant to play in 2026 but pulled out with a collarbone injury, so his live jungle and drum & bass show moves to 2027. Donato Dozzy and Batu play together for the first time. Ehua & Flore bring bass, broken beats and soundsystem music, and Adriana Lopez plays as her old drum & bass alias Suut.
On the techno side, Oscar Mulero returns after 20 years. Speedy J and Chris Liebing team up as Collabs3000, Aurora Halal plays live and Funk Assault (Alarico and Chlär) are booked too. Honey Dijon presents Sinister, her Detroit-leaning project, and Job Jobse makes his festival debut.
The live shows include a new Bonobo set built on his album Distance in Static. Jessie Ware, Yung Lean and Cornelius, who plays his new album Refractions, are also on. Dominican dembow star Tokischa makes her Sónar debut.
