Chase & Status’s seventh studio album, Generic Everything, is out today (9 October) on 2RUFF Records, under exclusive licence to Warner Music UK. The SoundCloud playlist above runs just under 30 minutes, which fits a ten-track record. The duo produced all of it.
The guest list is wide. J Hus and IRAH open on Disgruntled, Little Simz is on Carnage and Skrillex on Essa Ta Quente. Giggs features on Timber, D Double E on Levels, Debbie on Gone Too Far and Blanco and Finesse Kid on Juggin’. Saam Sultan, Ledbyher, and IRAH again with Col3trane on Shutdown, make up the rest. Disgruntled, Gone Too Far and Essa Ta Quente came out as singles between July and September.
The duo describe the album as a push against the pressure to sound like everyone else, with the cube as their symbol for it. They head out on the Generic Everything Live World Tour in 2027, with UK arena dates in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and London. We covered the album announcement when it landed.
