The Prodigy have launched BLK ANT, a new side project curated by the band, and its first release is a pair of wired earphones made with Flare Audio. The band announced it on X on Tuesday 27 October, and the earphones are already on sale through Flare’s shop at £179.

According to Flare, the earphones came out of a two-year collaboration between Liam Howlett and Flare inventor Davies Roberts. They went through hundreds of prototypes and a lot of studio listening sessions before they were signed off. The band describe it as a studio-quality, patent-pending wired earphone, and the design carries the Prodigy ant logo in gold on black.

The earphones cost £179, or £188.95 with a USB-C adapter for phones and laptops that have no headphone socket. Flare is making them in limited monthly batches, and when you order you pick a batch, starting with December 2026 and running through to May 2027. If you want a pair under the tree, the December batch is the one to go for.

Buy them from Flare Audio’s official shop.

What is BLK ANT?

BLK ANT’s website splits the project into Wearables, Objects, Art, Liquid and Machines, so the earphones look like the first of several things. Its Wearables page already lists Drop 002 for 3 November 2026. There’s no word yet on what that one is.

The launch comes a month after the band marked 30 years of ‘Breathe’ with a new XL 12″ featuring remixes from The Glitch Mob, Mefjus and Camo & Krooked, which we covered in September.

The band announced the launch in a post on X.
