Gorgon City and MPH went back to back at Breakaway Utah on Saturday 3 October at America First Field in Sandy. The duo uploaded the whole thing to their SoundCloud on 16 October, and it runs just shy of 75 minutes.

Going by the tracklist fans have pieced together, Gorgon City open with “Only Love”, their new one with Caroline Byrne, and later drop “5AM at Bagleys” and “Work It Out”. MPH answers with “Flex It”, “Raw” and “Mirage”, his record with Skrillex, and there’s a pile of unreleased IDs in there too, a couple of them carrying Sammy Virji’s name. Basement Jaxx’s “Jump N Shout” turns up in the Gorgon City remix early on. The last few minutes go from the Interplanetary Criminal remix of “Sidewindah” straight into MPH’s remix of Calvin Harris’s “I’m Not Alone”.

Gorgon City are London pair Kye Gibbon and Matt Robson-Scott. Their sixth album, AETHER, is due on 13 November and is the first they’ve put out through their own label, REALM, rather than a major. They’re also bringing the full live band show back for the first time since 2019, with sold-out nights at O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on 27 November and Alexandra Palace in London on 28 November.

MPH, the Canterbury garage and bass producer, has his own album landing a week later. Here, Forever is out on 20 November through DisOrder/Capitol, and the latest single, “Warlord”, is in his words “a throwback tune for me from the golden era of UK bass music/jackin, think 2014-2018”. His North American tour runs through III Points in Miami and EDC Orlando before finishing at Knockdown Center in New York on 28 November.
