Creamfields Runway 2.0 stage render with three LED diamond structures above the arena

Creamfields Runway 2.0 is the festival’s new 20,000-capacity arena for 2027. It merges two of its best-known stages, Runway and HALO, into one big room. Creamfields confirmed the design on its website yesterday afternoon.

The festival returns to Daresbury in Cheshire from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 August 2027. That’s the 30th anniversary edition, and Runway 2.0 is the first big production news for it.

What Creamfields Runway 2.0 looks like

The arena is 60m long and 40m wide. Creamfields says it takes HALO’s wide circular stage and pairs it with the Runway structure, which pushes out over the crowd.

Three diamond structures sit at the centre. Each one measures 15 metres and carries LED screens. They hang over the audience, so the visuals come from above as well as from the front.

The renders show a red-lit main stage with the diamonds stretching back across the floor. An aerial shot also shows them glowing green over a packed arena. Even from the back of the room, you’d be standing under the screens.

Creamfields describes the layout as “a constantly evolving visual spectacle.” Production will surround the crowd “from every angle,” according to the festival.

Who could play the new stage?

No acts have been placed on Runway 2.0 yet. Still, the 2027 bill is already filling up. The Prodigy were the first headliner, booked for the APEX stage on the Saturday.

Since then, Jamie Jones and Marco Carola have both landed Saturday slots. Hannah Laing is also playing her only English festival date that day. On the Friday, Josh Baker, KETTAMA and Prospa go b2b2b. Franky Rizardo is down for Sunday.

So far, stage names have come one act at a time. We’d expect Runway 2.0 to get its own hosts as the next waves drop.
