Ultra Music Festival
Our guide to Miami’s waterfront festival: dates, tickets, travel and where to stay.

Ultra Music Festival 2027 runs from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 March at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami. It’s the 27th edition of the festival. Ultra started in 1999 as a one-day event on Miami Beach. Since then, it’s grown into a three-day waterfront festival. Ultra says around 165,000 people come each year, from more than 100 countries.
It also lands right at the start of the festival calendar. So for plenty of UK ravers, it’s the first big trip of the year. Below is what’s confirmed so far for Ultra Music Festival 2027, and what’s still to come.
Ultra Music Festival 2027 dates and venue
Ultra has confirmed the dates on its official site. Gates open at 4pm on Friday 26 March and close at midnight. On Saturday 27 March, it’s midday to midnight. Then on Sunday 28 March, the festival runs from midday to 10pm.
The venue is Bayfront Park, 301 N. Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132. It sits right on the water in downtown Miami. Note that there’s no re-entry once you’re in. There’s no camping or staying overnight on site either.
The Phase 1 lineup is already out. Calvin Harris and Martin Garrix are among the early names. Meanwhile, Ultra bills Marshmello b2b Subtronics as a world debut. We’ve covered the full list in our Ultra Miami 2027 Phase 1 lineup post.
Tickets for Ultra Miami 2027
Ultra Music Festival 2027 tickets are on sale now. Ultra sells them through its own official ticket page, which hands you over to Front Gate. Buy there rather than from a third party. Ultra’s terms say all sales are final.
At the time of writing (28 October 2026), the official page showed two 3-day tickets:
- GA 3-Day Ticket, Tier 3: $479.16
- VIP 3-Day Ticket, Tier 2: $2,396.03
Ultra describes those figures as all-inclusive. However, tax and shipping are still added at checkout. As a result, expect the final total to be a little higher. Tiers also move up as each one sells, so check the live page before you budget.
GA gets you one wristband for all three days. It also covers the premium toilets around the site. VIP adds separate entrances and the VIP Village with its own bars. On top of that, you get the raised Main Stage VIP deck and raised viewing areas at other stages.
We broke down the on-sale in more detail when Ultra Miami 2027 tickets went on sale.
Age policy and ID
Ultra is strictly 18+ for general admission. VIP is 21+ with no exceptions, and staff check ID again at the VIP entrance. You also need to be 21 to buy alcohol.
Everyone needs valid photo ID every day. A photo of your ID on your phone won’t count. For UK visitors, a passport is the safe choice, since Ultra lists foreign government-issued passports as accepted.
Getting to Ultra Music Festival 2027
Most people flying from the UK land at Miami International Airport. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International, further north in Broward County, is the other option. After that, the journey into downtown is fairly simple on public transport.
From Miami International Airport
Metrorail’s Orange Line serves the airport’s MIA station. However, Miami-Dade Transit says that at weekends the Orange Line only runs as a shuttle between MIA and Earlington Heights. So on a Saturday or Sunday arrival, change at Earlington Heights for a Green Line train into downtown.
From there, Ultra suggests changing at Government Center for the Metromover. The Metromover is free, and it drops you right outside the festival. Also worth knowing: Metrorail runs from 5am to midnight, and the festival finishes at midnight on Friday and Saturday. Have a backup plan for getting home late.
From Fort Lauderdale and further north
Tri-Rail has a stop at Fort Lauderdale Airport and runs south into Miami. Ultra’s travel page mentions special late trains after each festival day. Even so, check the timetable on the Tri-Rail site, because not every train runs through to MiamiCentral.
Brightline is the other rail option. It runs from Orlando, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale and Aventura into MiamiCentral. Bayfront Park is then about a mile’s walk away.
Parking and rideshare
There’s no parking at the festival itself. Instead, Ultra points drivers to the many car parks and garages around downtown. Rideshare apps cover the whole of Miami-Dade County, though Ultra hasn’t published a 2027 pick-up point yet.
Where to stay for Ultra Miami
Downtown is the easy pick if you want to walk to the gates. Brickell is close by too. On top of that, it’s on the free Metromover loop, which also covers Omni.
Ultra’s official travel page links to hotel packages and room blocks near Bayfront Park. They’re booked through Crewfare, Ultra’s travel partner, and the same page has a flights search. Prices weren’t listed on Ultra’s own site, so check them on the booking page itself.
What to expect at Ultra
Stages
During the 2026 edition, Ultra livestreamed from the Main Stage and the Live Stage. It also streamed the RESISTANCE MegaStructure and Cove, plus the Worldwide stage. RESISTANCE is Ultra’s house and techno programme. For 2026, Ultra said the Cove would be its first large stage to run on zero-emission batteries.
Ultra’s Phase 1 poster for 2027 lists six stage names. Alongside the main four, it also shows UMF Radio and Oasis. However, Ultra hasn’t announced stage hosts or set times yet.
On the day
Ultra runs a clear bag policy. Bags can be up to 13 x 17 inches, and bum bags and small clutches are fine too. Expect a bag search at the gate. Totems and loose glitter are on the banned list, for example. Even sun cream and vapes need to stay sealed.
Lockers are available for single days or the whole weekend. Each one comes with a phone charging pack you can carry around. Meanwhile, the air-conditioned toilets are free for everyone, not just VIP.
Miami in late March is hot, so drink plenty of water. You’ll find first aid tents marked on the festival map. Ultra’s own safety pledge says you won’t get in trouble for asking for medical help.
Watch the official Ultra Miami 2026 aftermovie
Ultra’s latest Miami aftermovie covers the 2026 edition. It’s called Synchronicity, and Ultra posted it on its official UMF TV YouTube channel on 8 September 2026.
