Kid Vishis -Timing Is Everything Album

The much anticipated debut album by Detroit emcee Kid Vishis dropped yesterday, some may not be aware of him but he comes from a talented family. His brother is one quarter of the rap group slaughterhouse none other than Royce Da 5’9. The project is quintessential a solo project with only one feature and features production from Mr. Porter, Chase Moore, Nemisis and Nick Zervos. Catch the stream above and be sure to purchase on itunes here.

Omar LinX – Can’t Forget

Omar LinX has finally started to release some new music after taking a break to work on his debut album Music Or Revenge due out later this year. This track didn’t make the cut for the album but that is proof the album wont disappoint as this track features a catchy recognisable sampled beat and sick verses as always from Omar LinX. Check out the track above and look out for another 3 tracks in the next 3 weeks that also didn’t make the album!

Marty Grimes – Bang Bang (Feat. G-Eazy)

Marty Grimes releases the first single from his upcoming album titled “Through The Smoke” Which is due for release in March, the track features G-Eazy who is a lifelong friend of Marty’s and this hopefully won’t be their only collaboration. Be sure to follow Marty on twitter to stay up to date with him and see below what he had to say regarding the track.

“G and I have been homies since we were kids and came up rapping together. Back then it was all about having the most slap, the most bass in your car, so “Bang Bang” was a perfect record to reconnect on – a high energy song that represents where we came from. This song serves as my official introduction to the world, a showcase of my own sound and style.”

24 Freestyle Ft. QuESt, Castro, Jon Bellion & Logic

While working on his album (Over a year and counting) Logic drops this track featuring his fellow Visionary Music Group artists which include Jon Bellion who recently released his album The Separation. For me this track is all about Logic and Jon bellion but only due to me favouring them as their more familiar to me and after hearing this track I’m left wondering why Jon Bellion doesn’t rap more! He unleashes a flow I have never heard before and, Logic, as always destroys the track and provides its chorus. Check out the video above and be sure to listen to their work individually 2014 will be a big year for every one of these artists guaranteed.

Raz Simone “Don’t Shine”

After a relatively long time away from the music scene, Raz Simone returned yesterday with a video explaining his absence and that today (January 15th) he would start to reveal why he had been so quiet. Now that it is the 15th he has dropped his newest song complete with visuals. While the song may not appeal to everyone as it’s relevant to Raz and his life, I like the switch from singing to rapping and real lyrics. The visual is also slightly different from his previous videos which are also definitely worth a watch. Raz is one of my favourite upcoming artists and we expect 2014 to be a big year for him!

I’m excited to hear more from Raz and his upcoming much delayed project “Cognitive Dissonace

Timeflies – SMFWU

After their warning signs tour coming to an end Timeflies release this tune saying their the same as they have always been, just less politely put by them! After following Timeflies since they started to hit the blog scene it is amazing to see how far they have come and yet they are the same as they have always been even after starting their own label associated with Island Def Jam Music Group. I’m very interested to hear what their next full length album will be like and the direction they take it was originally due approx end of this year but sadly I think first quarter of 2014 looks likely!

Katy Perry – This Is How We Do (Huey Mack Remix)

Huey Mack this time drops a remix to Katy Perry’s ‘This is how we do’ and as normal, its a hit! Like him on Facebook to keep updated with his weekly releases in the Pretending Perfection Monday series following the release of his album by the same name.

OnCue – “Leftovers 2”

After pushing back his debut (free) album ‘Angry Young Man’ until early December roughly, OnCue decided to put out a project to give the fans something to play until then. One may be mistaken to think that this would be a project of mediocre music but instead its an amazing project its its own right equally matching any artist out there and I can’t wait to hear the debut album after this! The project features Skizzy mars,Ro Ransom, Sonny Shotz and The KickDrum so without further ado check out the stream above and download.
